The Community Development Kit is a website template and set of perl scripts to aid in the rapid development of a commercially based community website. This is NOT a script with web GUI access to editing and maintaining the website, it just pulls out the flat files and displays a community website. This version is "Multi-Location", meaning that is is to be used for a group of locations, like the boroughs of a large city, cities in a county, or even all the cities in a state if you are that ambitious. Think of this as a community based yellow pages on steroids.
Why would you use this?
To aid in the development of a community based website. Many hours of
work went into the scripts and templates, hours that you would have
to duplicate to attain the same feature set that you find here. Why
reinvent the wheel. You want to spend as little time as possible
designing to instead use your valuable time selling ad space and
business spots, generating revenue. Spend the time you saved showing
off your new website and making money!
